Sorry if this one has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it here and I come here quite often (not a pick-up line)  I happened upon this fundraiser while I was looking on the Internet for reviews of a local restaurant I wanted to try.  The site is insiderpages.com, our link is http://www.insiderpages.com/fundraisers/NC-ACS-White

and they are paying our team $1 for every new review we do and .25 for every 2nd through 4th review we do of local restaurants, mechanics, shops, doctors, vets, caterers, all kinds of things.  We can get anyone over 18 to help us, the fundraiser lasts for 3 weeks, and it doesn't cost us a dime.  The reviews can't be for national or regional chains, but, they can be from anywhere (not just Greensboro where our event is held) so we can get family members, and friends from all over the country (even you all if you'd like to help) to enter quality reviews of their local favorites and not so favorites to help out.  I'm hoping this will be a way of getting people who may not be able to afford to donate, but can give us an hour or so on the computer.  We're going after our younger friends for club reviews because it has to be first hand knowledge and we've gone way past that stage.

Anyway, I've done a few already, and they aren't hard to do.  The site gives you ideas if you have writer's block and they even tell you what you'll get or won't get (chains pay nothing) for your review when you click on the name of the place you want to review. 

Now, I know I'm gushing and I'm really hoping it's as good as it sounds.  Truth be told, our 3 weeks just started and we have to wait 30 days after the end of the fundraiser to get the donation.  I would wait to share and see if it turns out well, but most Relays are set up to be around the same time as mine and, as I said, I haven't seen this one listed, so I wanted to make sure teams were aware that it's out there for us to use in time for their event.  Oh, also, don't go by what we're getting.  If you're in a larger community, I believe you get more.  I think the really big places (NYC, LA) get $1.50 for firsts and .50 for the rest.  I know this was long, but I hope it's worth it for you. 

If anyone has tried it and it's not as good as I'm hoping, please let me know.  I'm hurting my brain trying to remember all of the places we've been in the last 2 years (time limit) that I can write up.  Thank goodness we've had a few trips in the last year and we have a wealth of out of town places to pick from.
