I just got back from a Relay Reunion this weekend and all weekend long they were showing pictures of A Relay For Life Street Banner (ones that you hang on light poles) and we were interested in seeing if we could get some for our town.  Does anyone have any information about those?? Thanks!

Relay Banners

Hello,

My Name is Jason Overby and I am from the Vance County Relay for Life.  I was at Relay University this year and saw the banners also.  Our Event started these banners last year and they were a big hit.  We have a local printshop that prints them up for us and we have the City Hang them For us.  IF the banners are in good condition we allow those participants to have first choice in rehanging theirs before selling new ones.  There was not a requirement for insurance to hang ours.

Make sure you contact your town.  Our's has very strict rules about putting up banners.   The rules were easy enough to comply with, it was the $1,200 insurance policy we would have to take out that really stopped us from doing it.

Street Banner Request

I, too, was at this Relay meeting and would like to have our community use this idea the month before the Relay.  I have been searching the Internet to find these banners.  Anyone having any luck?

I found these on a CD that I got from our ACS rep.....it is the Community Marketing CD....There were 2 banners.....one had the relay logo and the "no finish line...saying, the other one was the relay logo and the "community taking up the fight logo.  One was 170.00 and one was 180.00.  I don't know if they are still available.  I am going to email our rep to see.  You might call your local ACS office to see what they have available.
