June 2007 we will host our 15th annual Relay for Life. I have been involved for 14 out of the 15 years, in many roles, team captain, committee member, chairperson, co-chair etc. I am honored again to be the co-chair of this event. I had the awesome opportunity to attend Celebration on the Hill, and it changed my life. I have always been involved, but now I have a much larger purpose than just my Relay. I want to share my passion for RFL and to encourage others to become advocates for their community. Please get involved with the advocacy and mission integration, they are why we relay.
I also watched the Extreme Relay last night, cried my way through the whole show, but wouldn't have traded a minute. It is these kind of moments that it becomes so clear "crystal clear" as to why I do what I do. I hope that Shawna's story was as inspiring to all as it was to me!
