I am a committee member but also on the team that has been the top raising teams for several years. The money about difference between my teams and the other tops teams is usually 7,000 dollars. I would like to honor my team in another way and take us out of the top teams leaders, because there is such a difference. Any ideas, my team members make it hard because they still want to recognized. It was mentioned to make two divisions, over and under $10,000 but we are the only team that does over that amount.
Do you separate top corporate and top family group? I'm not sure which type your team is. If there is such a huge gap, and it happens every year, you could do something for first, second and third place teams. I think your team should be recognized for all their hard work, but I understand that you want to not discourage others by them thinking they will never be the top team.
I think if YOU want to do something for the team....do it on your own. Outside or After Relay
It is a friendly way to try and be the top team, everyone would love to be that, but you have to realize some teams ARE doing the best they can even though they may raise the smallest amount.
Because there is such a big gap in the teams as far as funds go......challange YOUR team to top last years goal.
It's nice to be recognized for something we have done well.......but the greatest recognition is knowing that you did something that will help someone else unconditionally.
I would think that patting yourselves on the back may bring a negative response from the teams that do not earn well.....because they are out there working just as hard as your team.
