Is it possible to delete a team member who was inadvertently registered twice. Both registrations were made using the "Early Bird" Participant Registraion, so there is no registration fee to be refunded. We have deactivated the participant and made the participant "private". However, neither of these seems to be the same as deleting the participant. Any suggestions?

Making a participant "inactive" has a similar result as deleting. The participant won't show on team lists or Event reports. "Private" causes the participant to not be revealed on Website searches for donations and does not display a personal page; the participant is still active though as a team member or individual pariticipant and will be listed on reports.
So, if the second, inadvertent registration has been inactivated and the first one is ok, no further step needed.

Question
I made a team member inactive (person registered in error) but the team doesn't want his name to show--SHOULD I make him 'private' as well-- OR can I move him off the team as if he was a single fundraiser not on a team?
Also-If he is inactive but still 'visually' listed on the team, does he 'count' in the participant number count of team members? thanks, Alicia
I did not think inactive team members were listed on a team page. Give it a bit of time to update (and remember to refresh to overlay a cached page).
As I recall, the participant count for the Event includes inactives. Since there's no limit on team members imposed by the system, it shouldn't impact the team.

Basic way to de-dupe team registrations is via EMC / Customer Service / Manage Teams / <second team> / Manage / Member List. You can move participants to the primary team via the Related Actions, remembering that the TC has to moved last. Once all members are moved off a team, the team record is essentially deleted.
If the same person started two teams, he/she would have had to register twice. In that case, you'd have to have Division Admin de-dupe the registration records.
