last year's Relay for Life event was a blast.  Jody and the girls did an awesome job of surprising me and lots of friends and family were on hand to celebrate "No Mo Chemo" with me.  I'm doing great and continue to get encouraging reports from my doctors which gives us all the more reason to continue supporting this huge event.  Progress has been made in treating cancer but we all look forward to the day when we can do away with this awful disease once and for all.

We're excited about this year's RLF.  Planning is in the beginning stages but we have big hopes and dreams.  Mark your calendars for May 16 and plan to join us this year...we'd love to see you there.Smile

Relay--Pay It Forward

Hello! I could feel your enthusiasm for Relay right through your words. I'm not a survivor myself, but my husband is a cancer survivor (multiple myeloma). I understand how you feel about making Relay a success. His cancer diagnosis scared us to death at first, but once we got over the initial shock and all of his treatment, we decided to work on a project that we hoped would let us pay our good luck forward. If you have time, take a look at our website <expectamiraclethemovie.com>

Our project is a feature length movie about cancer, relay, and horses. Strange combination, I know, but it really works. People seem to be touched by the film and the music.

If you go to our site, and click on the link at the bottom of the page called "Sometimes..." you can hear Tom’s story and why we're so determined to make our project a success. We're all ready working with Relays in Ohio, Illinois, Delaware, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania.

Take a look at our "Expect a Miracle" movie trailer, too, while you’re there. It gives me goose bumps every time I see it. I know I might be prejudiced, but when can you do when it’s your husband who did all the work!!!!

Maybe your relay would like to participate. Whatever you do, I wish you the best in your fight against cancer and hope your relay is a great success!
