hey ya'll...down here in South Mississippi the relay is just a couple of months away and we are in fundraiser mode overdrive! ( and having a blast at it). However, I'm stumped on one area, my seven year old daughter, she so wants to be involved. Anyone have any ideas for children to do....I've talked to her teacher and the class wants to participate. The teacher's mom had cancer and I have it so she wants to do something also that involves the class....any ideas?!?!? help?

We have several elementary
We have several elementary schools involved and they have done the following with great! success:
1. Pajama Day - pay set amount to wear pajamas
2. Hat Day - pay set amount to wear a hat
3. Kiss a Pig - Pay money to see principal kiss a pig.
4. Principal in Jail - they have to raise as much money as they can by end of day
5. Local businesses have agreed to donate a portion of proceeds to the school by: making a coupon, kids get to take the coupons to family and friends, they go eat at the restaurant during an allotted time and proceeds from items sold during that time will go to the school.
6. LETTER WRITING - the teacher can do this as a project during class and they can write letters that they can mail to family asking for donations.
7. Silent Auction - have local businesses donate to the school and money raised goes towards the Relay
8. Jean Passes for Teachers - check w/ the principal and clear a day for teachers to pay $5 to wear jeans
9. Check with your local ACS office for a copy of the ABC's of Fundraising.
10. Best of Luck.
