I would like to find a place to donate prayer shawls. I just learned about them and would like to make some if I can find some place that could use them. If anyone can help me, I'd appreciate hearing back from you.

Prayer Shawls
As a Survivor that just received a Prayer Shawl from the best ACS Area Rep...it is a great thing that you are wanting to make some...I know from the Love mine was made & given to me with makes it so special....I take mine with me to all my treatments & I know I have that extra special Love with me....
You can contact me if you have some we'll find a special way to use it...could be something that can be given to a Survivor at the Banquet that is undergoing treatment.

Reflection Tent
Our relay is planning on having a reflection tent this year. We want to make a nice, quiet place for people to go and pray and reflect on the event and those they may have lost from cancer or are suffering from it. If you have an extra prayer shawl it would be a nice addition to the tent and appreciated. Just contact me if you would be interested in our Relay. Thanks!

Not too long ago, the Grand Rapids Michigan Relay was looking for prayer shawls. They have a new Hope House opening or has just opened. It was on a thread here somewhere recently!

Prayer shawls
Hi - its neat you want to make those shawls. I know that a Relay close to you would love to use them - possibly a variety of ways, depending on how many. One way would be if they do a silent auction at the Relay to fundraise, or as a reward to a fundraising team or individual - or to thank anyone who is working on the Relay for something special they do.
You can find a local Relay at www.cancer.org and click on Relay For Life or call the 800-ACS-2345, probably easier. I would sure like a shawl today with all this cold in New England!! Hope this helps.
