Hello everyone,

Has anyone done a Lottery calendar before for a fundraiser for Relay. We are currently doing one as a team fundraiser and it doesn't seem to be going as well as I hoped. In order for it to work and for the team to make good money we have to sell 1,000 calendars. It is based on the Daily Pennsylvania evening lottery number. Does any one have any ideas as to how we can promote this so that we are successful? We thought it would make good Christmas gifts and have sold part of the 1,000 but have a long ways to go. You can either comment here or email me at no1relay@zoominternet.net.

Thanks for you help,

collene

Lottery Calendar

A lottery calendar???  Please explain this further.  Sounds like a  lot of fun but I've never heard of this before.

Please share!!

Lottery Calendars

Hi Collene! Lottery calendars are a really neat way to "spread the wealth"... and we've found a way to do it in more ways than just the one.

Here at our Lebanon County RFL, we sell a $25 lotto calendar, and base the pay-out on the PA daily number as well. In order to get the word (and sales) out over a larger area, we do it as a multi-team fundraiser. We have two point people who take care of all the administrative work (vendor contact & ordering, as well as overseeing the dispersal & payouts), but we allow any team who is interested, to sell them. Since we sell for $25, we make sure we have all pay-out costs covered first, and then we "pay back" the teams who sell them. You can do this based on a percentage of your income, or as we do, on a flat-rate basis. Our teams sell for $25, and earn $10 credit on each calendar sold.

You may want to consider this as well. It will not only allow you to reach a broader audience, but you can still make a small percentage on each calendar - even if someone else sells them for you!!

If you'd like any more information, please feel free to contact me, and I'll be more than happy to answer any other questions!
