I need help!  I am a first time luminaria chair.  My Relay site does not have bleachers.  Any suggestions on how to do Hope and Cure without them?  Thanks so much for all the help!

a slightly more permanent

a slightly more permanent way it can be done and reused from year to year is to create letters out of white PVC piping wrapped in xmas lights (white lights on white wire looks best) PICTURE BELOW...for ease of construction each letter can be made 8' (standard PVC pipe length) tall and 4' wide and all piping and joints can be found at a hardware store and they can then be hung or leaned against a wall for support and have braces built for them...if you would like a very crude diagram just shoot me an email david.hirx@cancer.org

HOPE and Cure

Last year we had a 4 footish cardboard cut-out of the word HOPE with Christmas lights in it (like little holes for each light)....we are hoping to have a wood cut-out with HOPE this year along the same lines. (hope that makes sense)

We do not have a hill or

We do not have a hill or bleachers at my event, but what we did last year was take insulation board and chirstmas tree lights.  We poked holes in the board spelling out Hope with a pencil and then put the lights thought the holes.  It was a hit.  This year we are thinking about doing CELEBRATE, REMEMBER, FIGHT BACK in different colors.  Our HOPE was in white lights and the board was painted purple.

Hope , Cure

We purchased the plastic "put in cups" in white and purple and have to spell the words in the chain link fence but it looks great and can be seen from the highway.  They are easier to take down than put up!

"Put in Cups"

Any info on what these "Put In Cups" are?  We have had to change locations as well this year, and have no bleachers.  We DO have a chain link fence, and I am interested in how this works.

Thanks!

MIght Work!

Do you have a Hill?

or you can do a wooden letters and place it on there, if you have like an ag class they might could build it!

or do the words in balloons and circle lums. around them!
