Does Anyone that relays also do for "light the night" just wondering because I would like to get it going in Blount County Alabama as well as Relay for Life!
My wife and I support the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (I'm a Hodgkin's survivor) and we've participated in Light The Night. It's comparable to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (my wife is a BC survivor). It's well executed and has strong participation.
The only caution I'd offer is to be careful to not give your supporters / donors "mixed signals" as to which fundraiser you are an advocate. That could dilute your impact. The way we get around that issue is that, for example, Brenda does online fundraising only for Strides and targets a slightly different constituency than she does with "traditional" fundraising for Relay.
But with that soft caveat, I encourage you to do all you can to Fight Back on all available fronts.
