Our Relay consists of 4 large towns in a busy suburban community. We need help with our kick off!!!!!!!!!  It's really gone downhill in the past few years with decreased attendance and interest.  We rarely get anyone from the community to attend and few business people either.  We typically invite business owners, team captains, survivors, but get little response.  In the past kick off has been held at a hotel where we serve appetizers and run an informational program.  We are looking for ways to shake up our kick off--make it exciting and get more people to come.  We want to increase our attendance numbers and make the event more exciting.  Does anyone have any great ideas???

Thanks!

Kick Off

Last year we held a Mock Relay for our kick off.  Each Tent was a different committee, and we rotated the people every 5-10 minutes to each tent to tell them a little about relay from the committee members.  It seemed to work really wel.  We got the local radio station to adverise the kick off for us and had it put in the newspaper.
