Alaska ACES pre-season games against the Texas Wildcatters on Wednesday, October 10, and Thursday, October 11, are giving all proceeds after expenses directly to the American Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Focus. Both organizations have made arrangements to keep all funds raised within the state of Alaska. The goal is to raise $75,000. Tickets on sale now. Call 258-ACES or log onto alaskaaces.com
The Sullivan Arena Ice will be painted pink. Wednesday’s contest will be dedicated to general cancer awareness, with purple HOPE bracelets being distributed to the first 2500 fans, while Thursday’s game focuses specifically on breast cancer awareness, with pink bracelets and ribbons being given away at the door. The Aces will wear pink commemorative jerseys for both tilts against the Wildcatters, and after Thursday’s game, an auction will be held, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of those jerseys once again going directly to both groups.
I am going to be able to speak at the event and promote the Relay For Life and share information about cancer awareness...early detection is the only protection!
Relay For Life represents Hope. Hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, Hope that those who face cancer will be supported and Hope that one day cancer will be eliminated!
