Hi Everyone,
I have a question....who on your committee decides what your Corp. Spon. levels will be?? We have had the same level for the past 14 years now all the sudden we are "told" it is being changed with out our knowledge or any input. I wanted to get a feel from other Relayers what Your Levels are and have they "gone up" this year? And I mean when they have gone up I mean UP! What do some of your levels start out at?? and another great question that I have is....do your Corp. Spons. Count for the team who bring them in???? I hear that its different per Relay??? Any comments or input is welcome!
Thanks so much!

When I chaired, our Region had set sponsorship levels - but it is clear that different Relays/regions/Divisions do it differently.
There should certainly be a conversation on the levels and how they are set, and if you are transitioning from your own levels for your event to a Regional or Division standard, talk to your staff to share with you how these levels were developed and some of the challenges it creates for you. Also, try to understand if you have any leeway about what "perks" you can offer at each level in order to "sweeten the pot" for sponsors who may, on the surface, seem as if they are dropping a level.
Hope this helps!
Hi Jena,
We set our own levels for our Relay, after reviewing several other Relay sponsor levels. We have the approval of our staff partner and office, but ultimately it's our decision because we know the area and our businesses. If you do not agree with the level change, you should approach your staff partner, your regional council, or your ACS office and have a discussion. Make sure you know your facts and explain why you disagree with the changes and how the changes will affect your particular Relay.

Hi Jena, we are in our 8th year here in Southern CA. Our sponsor levels have always been, 10K, 5K, 1K and 500. This was set by Region and we had no input in the levels.
This is the first year that we have put any "new" sponsors that a team member got towards their team.
