A few weeks ago, I attended the Florida Division Relay Summit -- and it was fantastic! Before my flight home, I stopped into an airport restaurant for dinner. As I was paying with my ACS purchase card, the waitress asked if I worked for the American CAncer Society. I said, "yes" and she then told me her story...

She said, "I had cancer -- Lymphoma -- four years ago. Well, it will be four years on August 28. Anyway, I just got married like a month ago. And just last night I was thinking what I would do if my cancer came back. And then today, I have seen so many people here in Relay For Life shirts. I think it's God's way of telling me that even if my cancer does come back, that I'll be OK because of the work that you guys are doing."

Wow! She was such an inspiration to me. So, my fellow Relayers, keep up the great work. You're making a difference every single day in someone's life!
