I am a community manager in South Carolina and have three incredibly awesome communities that I work with.  Our events are in full swing for planning 2008 and all of the committees have a challenge to make Mission and Survivorship better than ever before.  We would love some suggestions for Survivor Activities.  We want some fun things for Survivors to do at our events.  From bunny hops to parcheesie, we need suggestions.  What are some of the best things that you have seen or done at Relay?  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Dallas Training Info Posted

    courtneydawn -

I was one of the Survivor D -training facilitators at the National Summit - We had some amazing ideas shared and collected at our training sessions and I know the details will be pulled together and posted here on RFL.org soon. I hope you will find some great ideas there and if you need any further details on any of the ideas listed I can certainly try to remember what the topic discussion was that led to the idea and how the idea was carried out. I won't even begin to try to remember all that I learned during the training - because I will remember 1 for every 30 if I am lucky - so patience and wait for the postings - then feel free to follow up with me if you would like more details. Hope this will help you out! I know they gave me more ideas than I could possibly implement in one year...

    Your's in HOPE - Jill

Breakout Session contents from the National Leadership Summit will be posted on RelayForLife.org very soon. Check out the Survivorship breakout for some suggestions. I think that anything that makes the survivors a part of the event is great. Too often, we celebrate them and feed them and that's the end of our contact during the event. What if you had some special laps where they participate with all of our other team members. (For example, a chocolate lap or poker lap.) Let them join in the fun.
