When my mother was diagnosed with a rare form of gastric cancer, I was scared and I was angry.
My strong mother, who had endured so much in her life, went into the hospital for a routine diagnostic procedure and left with a the news that she had cancer -- and that it had spread throughout her body. I stayed beside my dear mom as she fought an incredibly courageous battle.
We lost that fight in just 29 short days, but I convinced that I can prevent the same thing from happening to another family. We are making progress every day, and I want to do my part to make sure that continues.
I Relay to FIGHT BACK against cancer and to bring and end to this terrible disease.
