hi all!

as the ohio jaycees relay for life program manager, my "job" is to promote rfl within the ohio jaycees. this weekend i ran my first ever training on rfl! it was about how ohio jaycee chapters can get involved with rfl! my examples were volunteer, sponser , or form a team! i showed people in my training this website for a tool to get ideas!!!!!!  the american cancer society and the u.s. jaycees formed a national partnership a couple of years ago and jaycee members across the u.s. have been involved in rfl ever since and it has been a total success!!!!!!  i just want the ohio jaycees chapters to partisipate in rfl in some way!

What a great idea!

rflvolunteer's picture

Love it... There should be an effort in each state to take it local. Is it tracked through the National Team Program I wonder? I'll try to find out...

Go Jaycees!

Question, was Doug Odenborg out of Everett, WA involved in the starting of the national partnership?

go jaycees!

   hi trish!

i am not sure how the partnership was created or the person responsible. that is a good question!!! if i find out i will let ya know. i do not know any WA jaycees, but my friend does!!! the jaycees are a young adult community service group. so volunteerism is how the jaycees and the american cancer society partnered up! thanks for the intresting question!!!!
