I am looking for a poem to use to put on a basket of candy for our participating survivors.  It needs to be inspiring and short.  Anyone have anything I would appreciate it.  Thanks Ellen V

Ellen, I wrote a song called "Lifesong" which is about Relay and survivors. It is used at many events. The words may be appropriate for what you're trying to do. Here they are (If they don't format properly let me know and I will email them to you):

LIFESONG

ALL ACROSS AMERICA

WE ARE HITTING OUR STRIDES.

WE ARE MOVING OUT TOGETHER,

WE ARE WALKING SIDE BY SIDE.

WE'RE THE ONES WHO MADE IT,

WE'RE THE ONES WHO SURVIVED,

WE'RE THE REASON FOR THIS WEEKEND,

WE'RE THE RELAY FOR LIFE.

IT'S ABOUT LOVE,

IT'S ABOUT HOPE,

IT'S ABOUT LIVING A MIRACLE

AND LEARNING TO COPE.

IT'S ABOUT BEING A COMMUNITY

THAT TAKES UP THE FIGHT.

IT'S ABOUT FINDING A CURE FOR CANCER.
