Still my favorite video
While the new Celebrate, REmember, Fight Back video is incredible, I still watch Why We Relay when i am looking for hope and inspiration. When we had people take turns reading the words at last years opening ceremony, most of the readers were overwhelmed with emotion - it was a perfect, serious part of the opening to our Relay.
I like to show this video to people new to Relay, as in just 3 minutes it really helps them "get it". I have even had people watch it while I was on the phone with them.

awesome video, using it for opening ceremony
Thanks to whoever got this available here so easily. I love this video - how many times have you heard how hard it is to explain Relay? This does it very well - you start to "get it" This year at our Relay we are going to have different people, representing a cross section of people at the Relay, take turns reading the words to this video.
Its also great because its short - I have even held on the phone while someone on the other end watched it, like a potential sponsor or survivor. Thanks again, I hope it stays here, although I know you can also download it...

Why We Relay Video - was great for opening ceremony!!!
Just wanted to add that having people take turns reading the words to this video REALLY came off well as part of our opening ceremony. Most of the readers ended up being very emotional when their turn came, but it sent a great message that this is all about VERY serious stuff. We got good feedback on it, saying that is needed as so much of the Relay of course is upbeat, cheerful, exciting stuff.
