Hi, I'm Jamie. I'm a 13-year-old RFL booth leader, and my booth is called "Pet the Bunny." We basically have a small bunnies-only petting zoo. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas of how to raise more money at the booth. Last year we tried to sell carrots to feed to the rabbits for a dollar. The bunnies didn't have enough appetite to eat all the carrots kids bought. Other kids just fed the rabbits half eaten carrots lying around. Any ideas like this one that may not end up the same way?? Thanks for any input.

Side Items

Well the ideas that everyone else has come up with are all good idea's but here are some more.

you can sell pens that have something to do with rabbits, i've done it before at some of my booths and its suprizeingly works great. depending on how many rabbits you have you might be able to sell some or something along the lines of that.

hope we gave you some idea's.

Bunny Booth Ideas

Hi Jamie - first of all, kudos to you for finding such a cool activity!!!

Some ideas:

* Photo with the bunny "Hopping For A Cure" - how about a $5 donation (or $1 - I'm sometimes a little too agreesive) for a photo with the bunny (take a polaroid or have a digital camera and a printer) with a sign labeled "Hopping For A Cure" - give the person in the picture bunny ears and maybe whiskers, and snap 2 pictures - one for a "banner" you can hang at Relay that is titled "Look Who's Hopping For A Cure!" and the 2nd for them to keep. What do you think?

* Rabbit Relay For Life - Can you have two rabbits "Relay For Life" and people donate to "help them raise money to fight cancer"? Maybe have them walk from one place to another in a pen or something?

What ever you do, do it safely and in a way that is kind to the rabbits, but think about cool, funny ways to get people interested :)

Good luck!

How about affection instead of food?

At a local relay, one of the teams sells tickets to "Kiss the Pig".  Someone hadsa pet pig and participants "vote" by buying chances to have someone kiss the pig.  Usually, it's a local school teacher or principal or politician.  The tickets are put into the different contestant's jar and whoever ends up with the most, kisses the pig.  Don't know if it would work the same way for you though, because, afterall, bunnies are cute and cuddly and people might not mind...

Good luck, though!
