Do you have any fundraising ideas that Daycare Center teams can host? If you work at a daycare center that participates in Relay For Life, tell us what kind of fundraisers work best for you. Don't forget to explain HOW to execute the fundraiser, too!

I started my own business in Central Minnesota called I've Got Purseanality Purse Parties. The Relay supports something very close to my heart, my best friend passed away from a cancerous brain toumer 7 years ago. I would love to help any teams out that want to do a purse party- I am donating 25% of the total sales to the American Cancer Society. I set up at the relay last summer in Fergus Falls, Alexandria and Sauk Centre and had a blast- I raised about $1500 last year and want to beat that this year!! Please contact me if you'd like to have a purse party fundraiser at IveGotPurseanality@hotmail.com or 320-256-4349
Thanks!!!

Team up with a local upscale (or midscale) restaurant. Offer a special evening "Night Care" once a month where you have an evening session of day care until 9 or 10 and the parents have a date night at the partner restaurant. The partner restaurant donates a percentage of date night back to your team. I don't know if it's legal or ethical but it's off the top of my head.
Good luck

I'm a Consultant with The Pampered Chef and I recently did my first fundraiser with a Relay for Life team. In less than two weeks, the team gathered over $1,900 in Pampered Chef orders and earned almost $400 in donations for Relay for Life. Pampered Chef donates a percentage of the product sales and as the Consultant, I donate a portion of my commission to the cause.
We did a fun cooking show, and then some of the team members took order packets and collected orders. For a preschool we could do a "Cooking with Kids" theme at the cooking show, and the parents could prepare a treat with their children.
I'm in the E. Valley in Phoenix and would love to help out any Relay for Life teams in the area. If you're not in the Phoenix area, you can find a local Pampered Chef Consultant at www.pamperedchef.com.
We just had a daycare sign up to have a team. They just announced that their fundraiser is a balloon launch. They are selling purple balloons for $1 in honor or in memory and will launch all the balloons at a specified time. I think it will be an easy way to make money but also will be so much fun for the kids to watch the balloons go up.
