About 1.5 million people will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
Thanks to American Cancer Society funded research, great progress has been made and more than 9 million Americans alive today are cancer survivors.

• I CAN become part of Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).

• I CAN find out if my members of congress have signed the Congressional Cancer Promise.

• I CAN join ACS CAN to make cancer a top national priority.

• I CAN tell everyone I know about CPS-3, and let them know that this is a one time, historic opportunity to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

• I CAN invite a local American Cancer Society-funded researcher to attend our local Relay For Life and share his or her story about the fight against cancer.

• I CAN join the mailing list for the Progress newsletter, which shares information about American Cancer Society research efforts and progress in the war against cancer.

• I CAN do my part to prevent cancer by, as much as possible, monitoring my own body weight, staying physically active, eating nutritiously and by not smoking.

• I CAN learn about American Cancer Society research programs and milestones
