Today I signed up for Relay so I'm glad to help the cause. My stepmom's mom has cancer and is Still fighting!!! At first her mom was an orangish color and had really flabby skin. Chubby ankles and alot of swelling. She had surgery alot of times but now that she's passed that she is doing kimo therapy. During the time she was in Gerorgetown Hospital they stayed at our house. I had to spend a month and a half of my summer in the basement on an air matress. My back Hurt  in the morning.

I'm organizing a Spa Day for the Relay for Life 2010-Las Vegas and am in need of a location!  Anyone who has a great space in Las Vegas for some massage and raffle tables, please contact me!  I have my foot in the door at a couple places, but nothing in stone.  I am looking to use the space any Sunday in October, from 8am until 5pm.  The actual event runs from noon until 4pm.

The 2010 Relay Portal is being updated and connects you to all of the local Marion County Events. 

I enjoy editing and updating the Ocala site and look forward to another year of extended lives and Happy Birthdays!

I will edit and update the sites, with maybe only a small 'hick-up" in early December, when I am due to deliver another little bundle of joy into the famly...  soon there after, to be followed by becoming a Grandma when my oldest son and his fiance are due to have their baby! 

Life is a Funny, Exciting Ride and I am so thankful to be a Survivor and have the chance to continue celebrating birthdays with everyone!!!

My name is valerie my father in law and my grandfather both lost their lives to lung cancer, ive walked in a few walk-a-thons before and i would really like to start a team but i dont know how i should start i dont know anyone who has participated in it.  I work at applebees grill & bar and wanted to ask them to sponser my team , but im confused on what id ask them to donate and what being a captian fully entails.  Does anyone have a step by step guide on what is expected of me and my duties what i need to do to form and keep a team ? please email me back @ vwenzelman@yahoo.com thanks!!

For the second year in a row, we actually raised funds over the $500,000 mark. Thank you to our team captains for working hard and having fun during the 2009 Relay Season. We also want to thank all our corporate sponsors for both their monetary and In-kind donations.

For my incredible committee who worked tirelessly, right up to the last minute location change. You put your heart, sweat and tears to help put on another great Relay production. Thank you.

Hello!

This is my first year as mission delivery chair!  Hopefully I will be logging into the chair website soon, but until then, I am going to blog away!

Any helpful hints or ideas are welcome!  I am currently organizing the Spa Day for October's Breast Cancer Awareness!  Anyone interested in donating gift baskets or spa services please contact me!

In addition, I am willing to educate and promote cancer awareness for the Las Vegas Relay for Life with anyone or any business interested in getting involved!  From formal presentations for businesses to informal chats at lunch, I am willing and able to carry the mission of the Las Vegas Relay for Life all the way!

I have been reading so many forums lately and I came across something I'd like more information on but unfortunatley I don't remember where I saw it at.

It was some kind of laminated punch cards that is handed out to team captains with dates and goals on it and once it is completely punched they get a prize...

If anyone can give me more information on this I'd greatly appreciate it.

This year the Clatsop County Relay For Life was an AMAZING experience.  We set our goal at $82,000, and then the economy "tanked" (at least according to the media!)   We set out knowing we had a real challenge on our hands and determined to do our very best to reach our goal (or get real close to it!)

On August 31, the deadline for final donations for 2009, we found that our Relay had collected donations EXCEEDING $125,000!
