When people ask me what I do for a living, my first responses always is, “I am a nurse” and I proceed to say I work at ACMC Infusion center and talk about what a great team of nurses, doctors, pharmacist and receptionist that ACMC has and what great care we provide to our patients. I love taking care of oncology patients because they are the most appreciative, grateful and compliant patients that I have ever provided care for. Last year my team participated in the relay event and it was great opportunity to honor our patients. I feel privileged to be a part of the most vulnerable time of a patients’ life.  When a patient is diagnosed with cancer, they need the strong support of a caring, well educated staff.  We have that ACMC.  Our team tries to go the extra mile for all of our patients.  We participate in this event to thank them for allowing us to be a part of one of the most blessed parts of their lives.  As health care providers, we all are fortunate to help others and make a difference in peoples’ lives. I am asking you to join us in our fight back to raise money, by participating in the event, celebrating and remembering the lives of those who have won the battle and lost to the disease.
