Being a ACS volunteer with the ACLS- study 3

Last year, I had the opportunity to be a volunteer for the ACLS study 3 at our annual Relay for Life. We had 129 study volunteers and everyone was very nice and cooperative. I was in charge of measuring people's waist. I was so nervous especially doing the men. I was worried about getting the wrong measurement. We stayed open later than planned as the study volunteers get coming in the tent. I even went back and participated as a study participant. Just when we finished with the study, it started pouring down raining and the tent was used for shelter by relay teams and onlookers. It didn't dampen our spirits but we got soaked. At three am it continously poured down raining so everyone hid under their tents. My team finally reached the bronze level in fundraising so we will have a sign for our tent this year.
