I never really thought about Relay very much or the aweful disease associated with it until it hit close to home, to close. My father was always an active we though healthy man of 70. the one day his hands started hurting, and we did the normal stuff for arthritis. but it didnt get any better so we decided a trip to the doctor was needed. that was on Tuesday, wednesday afternoon the doctor called and said we need to see a Lung specialist, so we thought maybe an infection or something like that, well when we got there, the doctor came out and right in the waiting area, he said we needed to be admitted to the hospital immediantly,he told us my father had Lung Cancer, and after test it had spread to his bones and everywhere. My father fell in and out of a coma, and 6 days later he passed away, So that took my father, then 2 years later my sister was diagnosed with cancer in her stomach, after surgery and treatment, she passed away 7 months later. So cancer is really hitting close for me.
