  In this week's NEWSWEEK Magazine there is a one page article about childhood cancer Survivors who in adulthood,are having a hard time finding jobs! the girl in the story could have been me! i thought it was great article. bringing attention to us young cancer survivors, who are smart , college educated, and still cannot find a full time job! check the article out!!!

   my rfl team has gone fundraiser crazy! we want to meet our goal of raising $4,500 for the american cancer society! here are the fundraisers we have allready done, are currenty doing,or going to do later in the year:  sold rfl bracelets, sold cancer for a cure christmas c.d's, just got done selling pizza cards, have a online magazine fundraiser website, will be having a bowling alley fundraiser, and a famiy yard sale later in the year!! whew! we will be busy!!!! 

    Yesterday in Lancaster, Ohio we had our first big snow storm and i did not have to work. Yeah! So i spent half of the day organizing little things for my rfl team that i 'd been putting off, ard realized the my team has already raised around $500 for rfl for next year and this year is not even over yet!! i was excited!!!! my muncie miler milers rfl team will be starting the new year with a bang! !!!!!!!

    The 2008  RFL event theme for my Lancaster/Fairfield,0hio Relay is MARDI GRAS!!!!!!! I am way excited because that is the theme i summited!!!!!!!  does anyone have any great ideas on how to decorate my teams campsite in this theme. my team won 2nd place in the campsite decoration contest this year and we are gunning for 1st next year!! lol!

   My Muncie Milers Relay For Life team raised $72 last week by selling new RFL bracelets at our Fairfield County Fair(Lancaster,Ohio) American Cancer Society Booth!!!! Actually we bought the bracelets,volunteers manning the booth sold them for us!!!! Anyways , our Lancaster RFL kick off meeting is not till next week and my team is already raising money!!!! We Rock!

  Hi All!.

 It's about that time again to start thinking about next year's relay!! YEAH!!!!  the RFL committee in my community created a new position called RELAY IN SCHOOLS COORDINATOR and i volunteered for the job!!!!!!  Do any of you have any ideas that i could use to get the local schools in my area involved in RFL ? Suggestions from anyone would be appreciated!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  Hi Alll!!!!

   I have not entered a blog post since last may! can you believe that!?! lol! Well my relay in Lancaster, Ohio at the end of June WAS THE BEST ONE EVER!!  i got got up in summer stufff and realized that i did not give ya all a summary of the my RFL event. My Muncie Milers team theme was Pirates! and we rocked this theme!! i tried to summit a photo on here! but the website was not  being nice! Anyways, my team got second place in the team campsite decoration contest, my sister came in second in the frozen t-shirt contest, AND I WAS NAMED MS. RELAY!!!!!! I REALLY BIG GOAL FOR ME!  My team also came in 3rd in fundraising, and the best part, we raised over $4,000 for the American Cancer Society!!!!  i know this sounds like i am really bragging, but after all my team's hard word in the pasted year ! i think i can brag just a little!!!!!

 THE NIGHT BEFORE RELAY AND ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE, NOT A CREATURE WAS STIRRING NOT EVEN A MOUSE! ALL THE CHILDREN WERE TUCKED TIGHTLY IN THEIR BEDS WITH DREAMS OF RELAY IN THEIR HEADS...... LOL!

  well it is 14 days till my lancaster-fairfield county, ohio relay!!! yea!!!!! however i am startintg to fell thre stress of getting last minute things done for my team! so much to do so little time!!!!!!  my last team captian's meeting was last night and my last team meeting before the event is on sunday. hopefully everything will come together and my muncie milers team will rock the relay!!!!!!!

     as the ohio jaycees relay for life program manager, my "job" is to promote rfl within the ohio jaycees. this weekend i ran my first ever training on rfl! it was about how ohio jaycee chapters can get involved with rfl! my examples were volunteer, sponser , or form a team! i showed people in my training this website for a tool to get ideas!!!!!!  the american cancer society and the u.s. jaycees formed a national partnership a couple of years ago and jaycee members across the u.s. have been involved in rfl ever since and it has been a total success!!!!!!  i just want the ohio jaycees chapters to partisipate in rfl in some way!
