RELAY AROUND THE WORLDOur 2009 committee decided that in honor of 2009 being Relay's 25th Anniversary we would do a "Where in the world is Relay" theme. I was telling them about how Relays are pairing up so they decided to see if we could find a "sister" Relay for July 10th 2009. Another thing we would like to do is get a T-Shirt from every state in the US and as many International events as possible. We will hang them up at our Relay for everyone to see. If you can help us out please e-mail me at judy_rospenda@att.net

HAPPY ANIVERSARY TO MY BIG BROTHERThis past Friday April 4th it was ten years since my big brother Chris was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was lucky because it grew on the inside of his colon and they caught it early. I remember getting that call like it was yesterday, I never cried so hard because I felt so helpless. Him and his family lived in Dallas and I was in Chicago. Friday they celebrated with a bottle of champagne! He feels so blessed that he survived this and so do I. I want to thank all my fellow Relayers for doing what you do. I know that becoming involved with Relay has certainly made a difference in my life! judith03 – April 7, 2008 – 2:04pm

THANK YOU ACS - ONE MORE REASON TO CELEBRATE AND FIGHT BACKYesterday I needed help with my Mom and ACS was there for me!! My mom was diagnosed in October with a form of melanoma and her doctor decided to do radiation only (5 days a week for 25 days, 7 down 18 to go). My Mom is 77 and does not drive, I usually take her to her treatment when I get home from work, but yesterday I could not leave work. I called my ACS office in Riverside Illinois where they know me and told them my problem. Their reply " Judy, not a problem,we'll get her there and get her home." I never imagined I'd have to use any ACS services, but am I glad they were there for me and my Mom. Thank you, Thank you! judith03 – December 11, 2007 – 2:51pm
