I started doing the relay in 2004 as a small way of raising money to help the cancer society find a cure for cancer. My brother had been diagnosed the year before and I wanted to do everything I could to help. Well, one week after the relay last year, my brother passed away from lung cancer. So this year the relay is a very important cause for me. My father and one of his brothers had prostate cancer.
