Help! I need a press release for Paint The Town Purple Day.  Our day is this week and I need to get something to the radio stations quick.  Does anybody have something that I could customize for my Relay and send it out?  I've got some press releases for survivors, new teams, and generic Relay releases.  I'd be glad to share them.

At our committee's last team captain meeting soliciting gifts via email was being discussed and a few team captains asked if they could import Hotmail contacts into Convio to use as their contacts to send out emails from within Convio. Not knowing the answer, I went and looked and it turns out you can't import Hotmail contacts directly into Convio after you download them. They need to be "cleaned up" into a format Convio can understand.

I created a video to help users download their Hotmail contacts, edit them in Excel or Open Office Calc, and then upload into Convio.

Has anyone done a scavenger hunt at relay before? I want to put one together and was looking for some general ideas.

My team is putting together team cookbooks. We got this idea from the fundraising packet that we get each year. I believe you can access it on here too. Anyways we are having trouble figuring out how many to make and what to charge for them. If anyone has done something like this or has any suggestions on this I would greatly appreciate them.

I know it must be hard for all of you. Cancer is a horrible thing. It drains the life right out of you. I have had a very personal experience with it. Like it says on my personal page I lost my great-grandmother to cancer. Yes, she lived through it for a long time and she kept fighting until the end but she wasn't the same. She was losing her mind as she got more and more sick from the cancer. She hurt when she moved and at one point before she passed away she couldn't move or talk at all. It hurt her when anybody touched her or moved her. Sometimes I think it hurt her to breathe. I loved my great-grandmother and even though she has passed she still lives inside of me. Her love has been and hopefully always will be a part of my life because without her it wouldn't have ever been the same. She was an amazing woman and raised eight children. My mother is buying a luminary for both her and my great-grandfather. He passed when I was probably about a year. He too died from cancer.

I have been working with a company for over a year now on different fundraisers.  We just finished collarborating on a new fundraiser.  My team will begin selling awareness hats/caps.  They are a good, study quality of hat.

The hats are white or black. You can choose the following items embroidered (sp) on the hats -

• Ribbon embroidered in pink or purple (beautiful against the black hat)
• "Survivor" embroidered in black with a Pink or Purple Ribbon over the first "v" in the word
• "Believe" embroidered in purple or pink with the "i" in the shape of a ribbon
• Ribbon embroidered in pink on light pink hat (sorry no purple on purple for this style)

We are in the process of having him try to make hats with the word "Hope" embroidered on them with the "p" in the shape of a ribbon.  If you would like to see a picture of the hats/caps or would like more information, please feel free to email me at relayforlife@jwnet.net.  This is a nice fundraiser for teams.

Hello to all my relay for lifers. Ha!  I am new to this so please help me.  I recently did my first relay for life in Washington, North Carolina and I was not prepared at all.  My team and I had a good time but I was not prepared.  HELP!!!

As most of you know I lost my dad to cancer over a year ago.  This is my 3rd Relay-4-Life and I won't stop until there is a way to save more moms and dads.  Please donate to my account to help fight this ugly disease!  thanks.

I am looking for ideas for games during the night.  Our relay runs from Friday night at 6:30pm to Saturday morning at 7am.  We try to do themed laps, but there are still people who want to play some sort of game to keep them awake as well.  We have done fear factor, tag, volleyball, etc, but we are looking for something new to use to keep people interested. 

Any Ideas for me?
