Think tobacco companies wouldn’t go this far? Without FDA regulation, they already do. Right now they’re enticing kids with fruit flavors, colorful packaging and hip promotions.
And it’s working — more than 4,000 kids light their first cigarette every day. An industry that preys on kids and kills 440,000 Americans every year lacks a conscience. Let’s not wait to see what they come up with next.
If you would like for Congress to draw the line, you can ask that they pass H.R. 1108, meaningful FDA regulation of tobacco.
