peanuts gang cancer pins

In a earlier post I mentioned that my team is the FLYING ACES. That we have many items with the peanuts gang. I saw on ebay a pin that had snoopy holding a pink cancer ribbon. I was wondering if anyone knew of asite that I could possibly order about a dozen or so for my team.

                                  Thank you in advance,

How do you find your already existing team? I can only find a Relay Event,  not a specific team.

I walk because

I am a 44 year old survivor of breast cancer and, I very recently lost my Mother to breast cancer.

She was not diagnosed until she was at stage 4 and, although she fought for nearly a year, she couldn't beat it.

I was fortunate enough to have been diagnosed early and have, at this point, had a much easier road than most people.

I will forever be a crusader for early detection, as it may well have saved my life.

To all of my family and friends, please support my efforts in the relay walk and...Girls, get your mammograms!

DJT from the old forum relayamerica.org or ???

Just wanted to say "HELLO" to those that remember the ol' forum that I use to help moderate and that DJT is still alive.

Decided to take a break from Relay this year.  Not on the committee, not on a team. Just needed a break and start fresh next year.  Maybe a new team, new ideas, and no committees. - Be more a participant; at least for 1 year.

The website irelay.org is available to register if anyone wants it.
As for dekalbrelay.org - I think I still own it, but the site no longer exists.

Pictures from past relays can still be found online at: http://www.dajatuphotos.com Click on Events Catagory.

So.... if anyone needs to contact me: djtdesigns (at) gmail (dot) com

laters,
DJT

Your input is appreciated

Raffel Tickets

Question about doing raffel tickets.  We were thinking of selling chances on a quilt for like a $1.00 a chance.  Is this legal or not?  I thought if it didn't bring in more that !1,000.00 it was ok.

Made it through Relay

What a night.  April 25th.  spent most of the day setting up the tent, carting in supplies, setting up the sucker pull activity.  Got a little sunburn.  Ran home to change into my team t-shirt, got a call fr om my sister.  Made it back in time for the survivor reception.  Had some volunteers help with walking.  3 devoted team members stayed all night.  Had the closing at about 4:30 am.  I was disappointed how many teams had packed up and gone home - several before even midnight!  I can't imagine what turnout would be like if this was advertised as a 24-hour event.

Those of us who stayed had a nice night.  Not too cool, a bit muggy.  Gnats were bad at dusk & early morning.  Our little team raised more than $1000, which made me happy.

More reasons to Relay!

Memorial Golf Outing

Frankfort Relay For Life Kick Off was the first of February.  Leslye intended to captain her team for 2008.  Things didn't go as planned.  Leslye was tragically killed in an auto accident.  The day of kick off her friend Tonya attended with Leslye's daughter, what a tribute to a mother and friend!  I have been so touched by the dedication to step up and fill Leslye's shoes as Team Captain.

I am so proud of this teams dedication and drive to make this year special and successful.

We Relay for many Reasons.....
