8 year old raising money for Relay!

My 8 year old daughter is very excited about Relay this year.  She has come up with her own way to raise money for ACS.  Please visit her page to read about her efforts and help if you can!!

Gifts ideas for Survivors

Each team has been asked to bring a trinket for each survivor that will be at our relay. After the survivor lap and before the luminaria ceremony, the survivors will "trick or treat" at each campsite where we will give them each a little trinket. I would appreciate any ideas anyone might have for a little trinket that would be easy to make and/or very inexpensive as we are hoping to have at least 190 survivors this year. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Teri

Remember

Hi!

I am looking for ideas for a Team Captain meeting.  I have done a "Fight Back" theme, and our next will be "Remember."  I am looking for ideas to make it fun, engaging and informative.  Most of our Team Captains are new to relay, and new to being captains.  Any input would be great.

Thanks!

team of survivors

Does anyone have any experience in putting together a team of survivors who may otherwise have no team affiliation and most likely have never met the other team members before joining the team?

We're trying something new to encourage survivor participation after the opening ceremony...

Relay - Itawamba, Mississippi Style

April 29, 2008

The stars were out in full force on Friday April 29th in Itawamba County, Mississippi ready to Celebrate, Remember and to Fight Back.

The teams were out in full force in support of the life saving mission of the American Cancer Society. The Survivors were honored with a RED CARPET Celebration....

This was an awesome event that exceeded goal by over $20,000. All involved should be congratulated on a great event. Congratulations and thank you Itawamba County, Mississippi for your awesome support of the American Cancer Societya and for making a difference in the lives of so many.

Fight Back Ceremony

I'm the Vice-Chair for the Mishawaka, IN Relay.  I'm looking for antecdotes, ideas, experiences with the new "Fight Back" ceremony.  We were able to book a very well known motivational speaker for our ceremony, but I do not want to have him read the ACS script word for word, he is too good to read from a page.  Has anybody done anything creative/non-scripted for their speakers at the Fight Back Ceremony?

How do I delete participant entered in error

I entered team members twice in error.  How do I delete the duplicates?
