Remember the Atkins Diet?

I do. Probably the most popular of the high-protein, low carb diet craze that swept the nation just a few years ago. The diet claims that by drastically reducing carbs and eating more protein and fat, our bodies naturally lose weight by burning stored body fat more efficiently.  The diet also claims that the best proteins to eat are red meat, chicken and fish, which no doubt, worked for a lot of people. Many "Atkiners" saw the pounds drop quickly, but developed more long-term health problems, like high cholesterol. Studies by the American Heart Association, the National Cholesterol Education Program, and the American Cancer Society show that high protein diets (consisting of red meat, whole dairy products, and other high fat foods) are linked to high cholesterol. Furthermore, some studies linked high cholesterol levels to an increased risk of developing heart disease, stroke and cancer. However, there is a healthier choice of protein for any diet, high-protein or otherwise, which has been proven to have many benefits for men and women of all ages. That choice is the whey protein diet. Made from cow's milk, whey protein is a pure, all-natural, high-quality product that contains little to no fat, lactose or cholesterol and is a rich source of essential amino acids. Whey protein provides innumerable benefits to athletes and dieters, boosts the immune system, helps bone strength and improves overall wellness. As time goes by, new studies on whey protein continue to verify and amplify its positive benefits. Currently, whey protein is regarded by a growing number of people to be beneficial in cardiovascular health, athletic strength and the proper growth of infants and toddlers. Since 1993, NEXT Proteins has invested over $9.8 million in Research and Development of whey protein products. And with a wide variety of products like whey protein powder, drinks and shakes, Designer Whey products have been in use for many different purposes, from anti-aging, to disease prevention, to sports performance, to muscle building, to better digestion, and of course, weight loss. Corp. Sponsor Sample Scripts?

I am going to be approaching local business in person about being involved in Relay For Life and would love to see some sample scripts if anyone has one!

Would like to talk about displaying Relay info in their business, becoming a Corporate Sponsor, and Forming Teams.

Please Help!

Sponsorship

We are trying to add to our Sponsorhip opportunities by setting up guidelines for individual sponsorships.  Does anyone have a sponsorship packet with individual sponsorship opportunities already established??  If so, could you provide me with a copy so we can have something to start with??  Appreciate your help!!!

New here and need help- Please

Hello, I just registered here a few minutes ago. I need help. I am wanting to start a team where is live and I already know that there are several people who are interested in joining but what do I do, how do I get started, what are the fees, does my team have to be sponsored by a company, and my questions seem to go on and on. I can't seem to find the answers that I am looking for on the site and I didn't know where else to go. I live in a very small town and don't know alot of people. Any information and advice would be truely appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

Becky

Becky's Blog

I am a SAHM of 3 and married for 8 years. I lost my best friend to cancer in Sept. 2004 and I attended my uncles funural just one week ago. He lost his battle on April 15th. I have never done anything like this before but have been considering it for a few months now. Two days ago, I thought now is as good of a time as any. If I'm going to do this, I need to jump in running so here I am. I have no idea what I'm doing but if I can help bring awareness maybe someone, somewhere, someday, wont have to battle this horrible disease at all.

One of the Many Reasons We Relay!

Cinderella Story

Relay is Rewarding

Team Frankfort Police Explorers found their current fundraiser very rewarding.  This team accepted donations of formal wear.  With Prom approaching the dresses (some shoes) were offered to youth at great prices (no dress over $60).  Some dresses still had the tags on them.

One night a young lady was brought by to "shop", the next day the team recieved the following note:

You can't imagine what you have given her, not just the dress but to be just like everyone else that will be at the prom.  Her face last night when you were pulling the dresses was something. Thank you for letting her and everyone else that you help, because without you they may never have an experience like that.  I greatly enjoy giving young students these experiences and without people like you I could never make it happen.  She has already shown several people the pictures that we took last night.
