Help with tent decorating and fundraising for small town on short notice

I work at HomeTown Pizza in Owenton Ky and this is a very small area and we have just decided to start a Relay for Life team at a very short notice so I need help with fundraising ideas.

Also the Theme this year at our Relay for Life is Over the Rainbow which is every color of the rainbow is given to each team and asigned a type of cancer for that color.  Our color is white for cercival cancer and we our encouraged to decorate our campsite accordingly.  If anyone has any ideas what I can do to decorate in white that would be so helpdul.  The cervical cancer info just has to be able at the site but the decorating doesn't it just has to be white. Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is our first year in particapting in the Relay for "Life.

Thank you so much for you time and help.Laughing

Marching Band Involvement

I am the captain for 2008's Warrior Marching Band Relay For Life team. This is our first year to do this. Last year, I was walking during this event with another band member, and we thought the band should do this. The turnout has been amazing! There are over 25 people doing it now, (our band is quite small..... ) We plan to do a Midnight March, the name explains itself pretty much, but Devin and I will move the band around the track marching at midnight. Devin and I have no authority in the band actually, so its pretty amazing that we had such a turnout. Only 2 seniors are doing it though, I guess the others didn't want Freshman in charge.

This is an amazing thing for bands to do, because when you see us on the field, we're stiff, we move like robots, but we're not that. Atleast half of the band has been affected by cancer in some way, I've lost 3 family members and my grandmother has breast cancer right now. This is such a delicate thing, and what RFL does may start a tradition for our band. As far as we know we're the only band doing this....

Survivor Lap

KissHello Relay World! Spring time for me means Relay is coming up. We always have a struggle with my local event as to what kind of music we should have on the opening lap. Some say the bag-piper that we've had for many years is GREAT. However, the sound and energy that you want on your Survivor lap should be contagious; that's not really what comes from a bag-piper. We typically don't have a song playing as it's usually windy and we can't hear it when we get on the far side of the track. What are your suggestions for how to tackle this dilemma??? Go Relay - Celebrate - Remember - Fight BACK!!!!!!Cool
