Hi-

I have run into a hurlde in writing letters to some businesses asking for donations. Some want info. regarding the 501(c)(3) status, tax ID number, and sources of funding for the group/organization. I have been unable to get this info. which has slowed down my fundraising efforts. Has anyone run into this before and have the info. or know where I can get it?

Hello. Our Relay theme this year is a circus theme. I am having trouble coming up with decorations. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! We have never really decorated but I want to get more involved this year. Thanks!

I have participated in Relay for Life for about four years now and will continue to participate for as long as it takes to find a cure for every kind of Cancer there is.  I have lost many close family members to this horrible disease, since the year 2001 I have lost my Grandma, Grandpa, my two beautiful siser-in-laws, and my beautiful angel of a mother.  We started this walk around 4 years ago and our team consists of just a few family members, but we are all committed to this cause.  Everyone from our team has been effected by Cancer in some way and this is one way that we are trying to help in finding a cure for everyone.  My mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July 06 and in only a few months was taken from us, this was the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me, I loved her with all of my heart and will forever keep her memory alive, although she knew she was very sick she never once complained and was always worried about how her illness was going to effect her children, grandchildren, and my dad her husband of 43 years.  She was the most loving, giving, and beautiful woman that I have ever known, she was my angel and still is.  My hope is that by doing this someday none of us will ever have to lose another loved one to this terrible thing they call Cancer. I love you mom and this is for you. Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God Bless you all.

I know I found some samples of letters somewhre on the site. We had a committee meeting this week and we have decided to try to get our local governments to declare a relay or power of purple day. I have been unable to remember where I found those. Can someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, my name is lyn. I have allot of experience in the cancer field. That is .... getting the cancer, not helping with the knowledge of cancer.  I just want everyone to be aware of this disease because it could happen to anyone you love at any time. I love to participate in the relay for life because It helps me remember I'm doing this for my mom who died of cancer in 1979. The knowledge and treatments we have today could have saved her life like they saved me in 2000. Just remember there is always SOMEONE who knows SOMEBODY who either has cancer or has died from this horrible disease. I hope you can help me participate in getting the word out!!    Thank you
