Kick off!!

We had nice turn out for our Macon County Kick Off on 03/15/08. We did a guitar heroes competition. The crowd loved it. My team captain did an amazing job of securing a place to have the competition. We also had a radio station come out and do some plug-gin. As a relay team we have raised some serious cash doing an Easter Basket fundraiser. It is all pure profit because our fellow employees donated the baskets then bought dollar tickets to have a chance to win a basket. Our goal is $500.00 dollars and we are currently sitting at $480.00 dollars. We have one more day to sell tickets..Innocent We are thinking about doing a rummage sale for our next fundraiser.

Relay Theme for Marshall County 2008

I am brand new to the Relay for Life committee and am very excited about getting involved. I have attended four relays but love the feeling of helping plan and being a real part of the event. Our theme for Marshall County this year is Survivor "Relay Island" in a spin off of the tv show Survivor. Could make for some very interesting teams aka tribes and the campsites will be quite creative I am sure. Good Luck to all of you involved this year and may the sun shime on all of your fund raisers and your finale events. Love to hear back from you on ideas that you have on your event list,

Worried

I'm worried that my team " Mom's Spirits" won't raise enough money for this cause. It's my first year doing this and I'm not quite sure how to do this. I would like to know if the Relay for Life still sells candy bars and gives you change canisters for your fundraisers. I need to know what kind of things are available for me and my team.

I honestly need help. I'm a cervical cancer survivor, my mom (Janet Rowe) is fifhgt a reoccurence of breast cancer, my boyfriends mom (Tannya Straw) lost her fight to cancer, and my friend's mom ( Linda Hogan) lost her battle too. Those are all the people that I'm honoring walking in the Relay for Life.

Need Help with campsite ideas for our theme!

This is my 2nd year relaying and 1st year on the committee.  We choose New Beginnings for our theme.  Since we have a new staff person, new chairperson and lots of new committee people, we thought that was appropriate.  The only problem is, we are having troubles coming up with campsite ideas for our teams.  Wondering if anyone could help us please!!!

 Thanks so much!! Laughing
