are team fundraising levels broken down by divsion???

Team fundraising club is it broken down by divsion?? Here in pa. we have purple, platium, saphire, gold, silver, bronze. with bronze starting at $2500.00 .  I saw another site from 2007 today that had bronze starting at 1,001.00. Did the amounts change or does each divsion set there own amount.

My Cousin

Today, is the day!  My cousin Julie Jenkins is having surgery to remove her thyroid.  She has been struggling since December 2007 and tests after tests diagnosed her with throid cancer and a nodule on her windpipe.  This finding is the most distressing of all.  Hopefully, they will remove the nodule and find that it is benign or that it hasn't spread.  Julie is looking ahead though - she claims that in 2 weeks she will be back on her bike.  The has rode the PanAm Challenge for the past five years to help raise money for cancer.  I am doing this in her honor.  I will be praying for her today.

Thank You Gifts

Alright, so here is my story...

I work at a university dorm and was having a lot of trouble raising any money. I decided to take those star and moon things that are displayed in stores and put them on the front desk of the dorm. I asked my manager if I could put some flyers up about it. He said of course no questions asked. When I was done, I asked him if he wouldn't mind setting the RA's up for a competition against each other to see which floor could raise the most money. He said he wasn't sure how it would work out, but that he would try.

When I went into work last night I was overwhelmed. The RAs decided to do a "penny wars" fundraiser. Then, one of the RA's that I work with, is a rapper who's pretty big around town. He offered to set up a show for me and donate part of what he makes off that show to me and my event. He'd let me come and speak in between songs or something about relay. I was absolutely thrilled about this.

ANYWAY, I want to set up a thank you for everyone who worked so hard and without hesitation to help me raise money. I want to get my supervisor something special for going to the trouble of asking them, and the RA who's performing something special for him and then something a bit smaller for everyone else. Any ideas? The winning floor gets a pizza party, so I don't really want to throw the RAs a pizza party. I was hoping for something a bit more innovative and thoughtgful.

PENNY WAR CONTAINERS!!!

I need about 12 containers for a penny war. What do you recommend? Milk jugs are too small!! I'd like them to be clear!!

Need help we have a new time and i have no idea what to do

I need help guys... Origionally our event was scheduled for 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. and we had the whole evening planned out, but now i just got news about 2 days ago that the times have been changed and not it is a day time event instead of an overnight event.  We are doing it from 12 noon to 12 midnight because of a noise ordinance in the neighborhood.  It was either change the location or change the time. So obciously they decided to change the time and now i'm having a problem with finding more activities to do during the day...

Can ya'll please send me some of your ideas of stuff to do during the day - i origionally was going to have a midnight pajama fashion show and a midnight snack competition - well that is obviously out of the question, i can try and change it to a regular fashion show but how would i stage the whole thing. I want to get the community involve but we only have like 40 days left and i don't know if that's enough time to get a local vender involved to come out and help with everything... I was thinking maybe get a local clothes store donate some clothes to wear but that might be too hard, or i can see about getting some people that sell make-up or a local salon to come out and do make-overs...

HELP

Hi, I'm writing because I'm Team D chair. First time on the committee and a little lost on how to run a team captain meeting. I look in relay library for sample agendas but can't find one. Does anyone have suggestion? I'm really excited about this year Relay. and I want to do a good job. Have 6 other people on my committee so we have enough to mentor all team captains. So if anyone could help me with an agenda I would be so grateful.

I'm new to relay and have a few questions

Hi. I'm new to everything Relay. Anyone who can answer my questions will be greatly appreciated.

1. I am relaying at Rocky Point, NY. When does the actual relay--people walking the track begin? Right after the opening ceremonies??

2. I was told that Relay is all over the world. Can someone tell me how to access information about other Relay events in other countries, specifically Ireland?

Quilt Squares As On-site fundraiser

I'm planning on making a quilt to raise $$$ for the Relay. My idea was to sell squares depending on size of the square at different prices, for example; $5 for a 4" square; $10 for a 8" and $15 for a 12" squares. I was gonna sell the squares to walkers/crew and have them email me who they are walking in celebration or in memory of. I was thinking of using a lighter purple material for in MEMORY and a darker purple material for in CELEBRATION of. I'm an avid quilter and go to a quilting group on Fridays at my church. How I was gonna set it up was have a table & the squares set up on the table with fabric pens or something similar to the fabric pens. Then after our Relay, see if the township board would be willing to display it in the township offices for the next year and then sell it off at the next year's Relay. This is a first year Relay event for our township so I was thinking for the border on the top border sash, put "Harrison Township's First Relay For Life 2008" or just "Harrison Township Relay For Life 2008". The other idea was if the township was willing to display it then donate it to the township to commemorate the townships first Relay For Life event. What do you all think of that idea?

New team- PLEASE HELP

Okay, so we are a team of 8th grade kids (except not a school sponsored team.) We have about 4 people so far. We cant have an assembly or even go on the news show because we aren't school sponsored but we luckily have lots of "maybe" people/people who have to ask ther parents so our number should start rising.  We are part of Florida if that makes a difference.......

Anyways, we are part of a "rodeo" relay. We need EASY campsite decoration ideas, ideas for selling things and any other tips or tricks you guys can give us. We are people that have never done a relay before, just visited one. Our idea of an 8th grade team may sound crazy but we want to help.  Laughing

Fight Back cards, flags & stickers

Does anyone know how I can get the Fight Back  pledge cards,  stickers and flags?  Our Relay is the last weekend of this month and I need to get this asap. Thanks all.

Hi, Everyone!
