This is probably the most important year for me when I think about Relay for Life.  I started with the Relay around 11 years ago, but this is the year I will be the same age as my mom when she died from cancer.  She is the reason I do the relay.  When she died it was approximately 5 months after her 46th birthday.  I ha djust gotten married (6 weeks earlier) and was 22 years old.  Silly me I thought 46 was a very old and justified she had lived full life and what was there to look forward too after 45.  Now that I'm 45, I'm a lot smarter and realize at this age I haven't even put a dent into this world or my life yet.
