Tracking Online Donations

Is there a way to track the state where the online donation comes from?  We are wanting to have a contest to see who can get an online donation from every state, but don't know how to tell the state where the donation came from.  Can anyone help?

Purchasing items for kick offs and team captain meetings

Hi, I am new to Relay and need help getting ideas on where to purchase items for team captain meetings and kick offs...what types of things to you get? How much do you normally spend? What do you have for suggestions?
Thanks

a special person I will never meet

In October 2006, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.  I researched so long & hard that I felt like I could answer any question about this disease that had suddenly invaded my body and threatened to take my breast, and my life. After much thought and discussion with doctors and friends who had previous experience, I opted for a total mastectomy of my left breast.  Recovering in the hospital after surgery, the surgeon happily told me that after examination of lymph nodes there was no spread of the disease.  I am now a 16-month survivor and surprisingly that frozen moment in time seems like years ago, but also feels like yesterday.  That next spring I received an invitation to walk the 'Survivors lap at the Relay For Life.  I decided to accept and walked several laps with my mother & twin sister.  During the 'Survivors Lap' I was so moved at all of the people on their feet applauding.  It was extremely moving & emotional.  I glanced up at the crowd and my eyes drew me to a young lady who was smiling from ear to ear.  Our eyes met and her smile seemed to radiate from her heart.  Eventhough I had no idea who she was, that smile touched my heart and I will never forget it.  At that moment the tears began to form in the corner of my eyes and I thought to myself,"You've made it! You've survived and you're going to be OK!  I'll never know who she was or her name but she played a huge part in helping me feel whole again.  And I thank her for that!!!

...and our Closing Ceremonies,

Ideas for Pre-schoolers?

Hi all you Relay enthuiasts!

One of our local pre-schools wants to get involved in our Relay and has asked for some fundraising ideas that are appropriate for pre-schoolers.

It's unlikely that many of the kids will come to the actual Relay, so we are hoping to do something smaller for them.

So far I've come up:

Relay Links - selling strips of paper for 25 cents and linking them together.

Coins for a cure - Fill film canisters with quarters

Duct tape to the wall - Duct tape teacher to the wall

Art Show and sale

24 minute mini-Relay

And we are also looking at doing pre-school mini-Relay at a local nursing/retirement home.

Does anyone have any other suggestion that would be appropriate for the under 6 crowd?

Leah Lee McCullough's Story

We found out on October 29th of 2005 that Leah had cancer . Her cancer showed up in her left knee. Leah was told she had A.L.L.(Acute Lympoblastic Luekemia). She was able to get one round of Chemo. Leah was doing good until that day her oxygen dropped to 60%. That was the day she had to go to ICU. They told her she would have to go on the ventilator before to long. Of course being a typical hard headed teenager she refused. About one hour later she decided to go on it herself. Leah was finally getting the rest her body needed,so that her body could heal. One day I was told her liver had failed. Then a few days later I was told she was brain dead. In the end her lungs collapsed from some unknown illness they could not identify.Leah passed away one month to the date that we found out she had cancer. On November 29th 0f 2005 Leah went home to be with Jesus. Unlike most cancer patients Leah only had to battle this horriffic disese for one month. My chief complaint is that her doctor did not listen to us.
