We expand on our core, community Relay For Life program through enhancer events. By offering more events, we magnify our reach by rallying more communities to fight back against cancer. Read about all our Relay events, and then search to see which ones are offered in your community.

At our community events, teams camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Relay events are overnight and up to 24 hours and, because cancer never sleeps, each team has at least one participant on the track at all times. Each team participates in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.

Schools have the option to host their own Relay activities. Our student Relay events offer specialized fundraising, cancer education, and leadership opportunities for elementary, middle, high school and college students.

Celebrate the caregiving qualities of canine companions! Bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day of walking, demonstrations, and games. A Bark For Life event can be organized as a revenue enhancer to a community Relay event or as a team fundraiser in which an entire community can participate.
Each community’s Relay For Life event is special, but its greatest power lies in the synergy created by all of the Relay events taking place worldwide – in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries. Each year, more than 4 million people across the globe take part in the Relay For Life movement – the world’s largest fight for more birthdays. Learn More »
Second Life is a 3-D virtual world built and owned by its online residents – more than 15 million people around the globe. In Relay For Life of Second Life, teams build campsites and walk a track – just like at a real world Relay event. Through this virtual Relay event, people who may not be able to attend a community event have a chance to participate and make a difference in the fight against cancer.
